NIT Srinagar is one of the premier Institution of India. We offer B. Tech programmes in eight Engineering disciplines (Chemical, Civil, Electrical, Electronics & Communication, Mechanical and Metallurgical Engineering; B. Tech in Computer Science and Information Technology have been introduced from the academic year 2007-08). Further, four M. Tech programmes namely, Water Resources Engineering, Structural Engineering (Civil), Mechanical System Design (Mechanical) and Communication & IT (Electronics & Communication) are also being offered. To enhance the cause of Research and Development, the Institute offers Ph.D Programmes in all disciplines, in addition to M. Phil programmes in basic sciences. The Institute has well equipped laboratories and a faculty with high academic profile and infrastructure adequate enough to impart quality education in tune with the requirements of modern industry and technology.

The alumni of this college are well placed in various reputed organizations both within the country and abroad.
