Nature displays the highest intriguing level of design, purpose, and adaptability to thrive in challenging environments via sophisticated micro/or nanostructured surface texture design—for instance; the ultra-slipperiness of pitcher plants, the self-cleaning of lotus leaves, the tunable-adhesion of gecko feet, the water-walking ability of water strider, atmospheric water harvesting of desert beetle, and the water desalination of mangrove. Incorporating these fascinating natural features into artificial Nanomaterials designs will result in superior functional capabilities. In this context, our group is committed to exploring and translating nature-driven inspirations into practical technology innovations that can improve the quality of human life.
